Aimin (Chairman of the WTC Faculty Committee and President of Chang’an University) and Wang Dapeng (Director of the WTC Executive Committee) attended the meeting. Wang Hainian (Chairman of WTC Highway Engineering Division and Dean of CDIC), Ge Yingen (Chairman of WTC Water Transport Division and Dean of School of Transportation, Shanghai Maritime University), and Zhang Weihua (Chairman of WTC Rail Transit Engineering Division and Chief Professor of Southwest Jiaotong University) respectively presided over the annual working meeting of the Highway Engineering division, the Water Transport division and the Rail Transit division. The meeting was prepared and coordinated by Yao Yiliang (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CDIC) and Bai Qiang (Deputy Dean of CDIC).

About 70 members of WTC’s Highway Engineering division, the Water Transport division and the Rail Transit division participated in the annual working meeting. Division members come from nearly 20 universities, enterprises and institutions, including Chang'an University, Tongji University, Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Central South University, Shandong University, Hunan University, Beijing Jiaotong University, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Southwest Jiaotong University, Wuhan University of Technology, Changsha University of Science and Technology, Hainan University, Taiyuan University of Technology, Yangzhou University, Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transport, JSTI Group Co., Ltd., and Shanxi Transportation Technology R&D Co., Ltd.

The annual work conferences of the Highway Engineering division, the Water Transport division and the Rail Transit division were held simultaneously in three conference rooms. Each Division summarized its work progress in 2020-2021, WTC2021 paper submission and the organizing of the theme forum. They also discussed the main points and measures of the following year’s work. During the meeting, the committee members visited CDIC and highly recognized CDIC's internationalized teaching mode, teaching methods and hardware facilities.

WTC has been successfully held for four sessions and has become an academic exchange platform with extensive international influence. With the theme of New Technology, New Model, New Transportation, WTC2021 aims to provide a communication platform to lead innovation, demonstrate innovation and implement innovation. Chang'an University has deeply participated in the planning, organizing, and operating of the conference and has provided an important guarantee for the conference's academic, comprehensive, and international nature. It fully demonstrated the comprehensiveness, competence, and academic influence of Chang’an university’s world-class disciplines - transportation engineering.
