At 16:00 on May 10, CDIC held 2021 conscription and enlistment promotion event on the fourth floor’s lecture hall of Hongyuan building. The purpose of this event is to respond to the call of the party and the country, fully mobilize the students' enthusiasm for enrollment, strengthen the students' sense of responsibility for military service and the awareness of participating in the army to defend the country. This event was lectured by Sun Shiqiang, director of the Student Affairs Department. All the students of class of 2020 participated.

Sun Shiqiang introduced the basic conditions, registration process and preferential policies for undergraduates to join the army. He said that stimulating personal patriotic enthusiasm in national defense education and cultivating outstanding qualities of being brave, tenacious, hardworking, and not afraid of difficulties is not only a way to serve the motherland, but also a way to improve one's own quality and realize the value of life. He emphasized the honor of enlisting in the army, and encouraged the students to consider their own actual situation seriously. If students have the intention, they should actively sign up and work hard to devote themselves to the national defense strengthening of the motherland.

The successful convening of the conscription conference gave CDIC students a detailed understanding of the policies of college students’ enlistment in the army. Students deeply felt the charm of military personnel, which greatly inspired their enthusiasm to join the military camp and serve the motherland.
