At 6 pm on September 18, 2020, CDIC held an explanation session about the student status registration of UCD in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of Hongyuan Building, Weishui Campus. This meeting was conducted online. UCD Cooperative Education Supervisor Beini Chen and Applied Language Center Supervisor Alex Runchman jointly explained the registration process of the University College Dublin and the use of Brightspace, the online teaching system of the University College Dublin, for students of class of 2020.
Beini Chen, the director of the University College Dublin Cooperative Education, first introduced the UCD Mobile software’s function and method of application to the students in detail. Students can view UCD’s course schedule and various notices through the software. Afterwards, He showed the students step by step the registration process on the UCD official website; after registration, CDIC students would officially have the dual status of Chang'an University and the University College Dublin, and can obtain all online course resources of the University College Dublin.

CDIC offers three Sino-foreign cooperative education undergraduate majors: Civil Engineering Infrastructure, Automotive Engineering, and Transport City Planning and Environmental Policy. All adopt the 4+0, dual status, dual registration, dual degree cultivation model to achieve study abroad without going abroad.
Through this explanation session, students of class of 2020 learned how to register at the University College Dublin and the method of using Brightspace, the online course teaching platform of the University College Dublin, which laid the foundation for subsequent learning.
