CDIC held a welcome meeting for new students

On the evening of September 24, 2020, CDIC held a welcome meeting for new students at the Hongyuan Building on Weishui Campus. The conference was conducted remotely online and was presided over by Beini Chen, Director of Cooperative Education of University College Dublin. Paul Fanning, Provost of University College Dublin, attended the conference.

First of all, Paul Fanning expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the students of 2020. He said that he welcomes the students to join the CDIC, and hopes that the students will develop good study habits in the first year of the university to lay a solid foundation for lifelong learning.

Later, he gave a brief introduction to the Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions and majors jointly established by the University College Dublin and Chang'an University, focusing on the academic advantages and general situations of the University College Dublin. He also briefly introduced the graduation prospects of ivil Engineering Infrastructure major, Automotive Engineering major and Transport City Planning and Environmental Policy major.


Finally, he expressed the hope that the students can grow into compound international talents through four years of study at the CDIC. After graduation, they can study at the University College Dublin or a world-renowned overseas university.
