The Office of Academic Affairs of CDIC Participated in the 2021 Student Registration Training Meeting for Sino-foreign Cooperative Education

In order to cooperate with the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs) of the Ministry of Education to further strengthen the standardized management of Sino-foreign cooperative education, and to do a good job in the registration of full-caliber students of Sino-foreign cooperative education at the undergraduate level or above, Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) held the 2021 student registration training meeting for Sino-foreign cooperative education at 14:00-15:45 in the afternoon of September 27, 2021 via a live webcast. All members of the Office of Academic Affairs of CDIC attended this meeting.

First of all, Xiong Xing, Director of the Second Division of Academic Degree Accreditation of CSCSE, gave a brief statement on the new policies and new ideas this year, emphasized that all Chinese-foreign cooperative education projects and institutions should pay attention to the importance of the registration of the students, and encouraged them to focus on the connotative development of Sino-foreign cooperative education in the new era and create new heights for localization.


Subsequently, Chang Xiaolin, Vice President of Duke Kunshan University, and Meng Tao, Dean of the International Business School of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, respectively showed the basic situation of Sino-foreign cooperative education in the two universities, focusing on sharing experience in student status management, teaching quality management system, teacher team building, various related education and teaching management systems, and registration of students in Sino-foreign cooperative education.


Next, Huo Xiao, the head of the foreign-related education group of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, gave a brief introduction to the student registration management system and academic degree certification work of Sino-foreign cooperative education. Huo Xiao said that student registration is an effective way to strengthen the dynamic supervision of Sino-foreign cooperative education, as well as the need for standardized development and an important guarantee for safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of students.


Finally, Liu Haonan, the registration system administrator of the Second Division of Academic Degree Accreditation of CSCSE, emphatically introduced the optimization and upgrade of the new registration system functions, and demonstrated the overall operation process of the college side of the Chinese-foreign cooperative education student registration system.


Through this training meeting, the Office of Academic Affairs of CDIC has deepened a comprehensive understanding of the registration system for Sino-foreign cooperative education, and has learned a wealth of experience from the speeches of the leaders of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges and the exchange of experiences with other Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions, which has laid a solid foundation for further promoting the high-quality and connotative development of Sino-foreign cooperative education.


The registration of academic degrees in Sino-foreign cooperative education is a very important task in the management of the college’s student status. The smooth development of this work provides policy and system protection for students' overseas academic certification after graduation and their legal rights.
