On the evening of May 12th, Zhou Chenggang, CEO of New Oriental Education Technology Group, came to Chang’an university to give a lecture titled Educational Searching Through the World. Vice President Zhao Xiangmo attended the event and met with New Oriental Group. This lecture was co-sponsored by the Student Affairs Department and CDIC. More than 1,200 students from various faculties attended the lecture.

Before the start of the lecture, Zhao Xiangmo accepted a book called  Educational Searching Through the World donated by New Oriental Education and Technology Group on behalf of Chang’an university.

Zhou Chenggang started a tour of world-renowned universities in 2013, with a total of 400,000 kilometers. He had in-depth visits to 200 world-renowned universities. At the public lecture, Zhou Chenggang used the pictures to show the students of the scene of his experience and shared his insights. He talked about English learning, the world view of talents, the concept of talent cultivation in world-renowned universities, future life planning and other topics, and share his understanding of education. He said that everyone has their own specialties. The future life and career development is a long-distance race which need endurance and acceleration. Students should find their own goals. The best education is to improve constantly on the path of their own growth. He encouraged students to work hard to enter prestigious universities, accept advanced educational concepts, and become cross-cultural, cross-regional, cross-major, and cross-language compound talents.

This lecture is one of the measures taken by Chang’an university to focus on the cultivation goal of the double first-class talents, implement the spirit of the document Chang'an University's Implementation Plan for Strengthening students studying atmosphere, and promote the implementation of the cultivation of outstanding student plan. The event was hosted by Ouyang Tao, director of the Student Financial Aid Center of the Student Affairs Department. Main leaders of New Oriental Group, Chang’an university 's principal's office, international cooperation and exchange office, library, and CDIC attended the event.
