First of all, Xiang Yuan shared his experience of undergraduate study and study abroad application to the students. He mentioned that the choice of overseas universities requires multi-dimensional considerations, including factors such as goals for study abroad, future plans, geographical location of the university, and the difficulty of application. Thus, students should make their application goals after comprehensive consideration of various factors, and combine the admissions situation of previous years with the actual situation of oneself.

Nie Xianyi mentioned that it is necessary to plan and prepare early, because Chance favors only the prepared mind. Nie Xianyi especially emphasized the importance of one’s mentality. He mentioned that students must be clear about their goals, know what they are doing, and then complete their goals step by step, and finally there will be good results.

In the interactive communication session, students actively asked two role models questions based on their own situations. Xiang Yuan and Nie Xianyi gave answers patiently, hoping to provide students with valuable suggestions.
This event invited outstanding students who have received offers from well-known overseas universities to share their experience, which could help CDIC students to broaden their horizons, make better plans for the future, and stimulate their motivation to study abroad. The Eighth Lecture of Study Abroad Salon played a positive role in the building of CDIC's international talent cultivation system.
