At 19:00 on June 4, CDIC and the Recruitment and Employment Office on the west side of the North Campus library jointly held a special lecture on Career • Chang’an university. They invited Qi Bin (New Oriental Prospects overseas assistants and the vice president and director of the Employment Ability Project Promotion Center) to give a lecture entitled Interpretation of Employment Trends and Enhancing Competitiveness in Job Search under the pandemic. More than 200 students from various departments attended the lecture. Yao Yiliang (Deputy Dean of CDIC), Lu Yihang (Assistant Vice President of New Oriental Futures Abroad and General Manager of Shaanxi New Oriental Futures Abroad), Gu Wei （Marketing Director of Shaanxi Branch）, and Zhao Yumin （Director of the Employment Guidance Teaching and Research Office of the Admissions and Employment Office）attended the event. The event was hosted by Sun Shiqiang, director of CDIC’s Student Affairs Office.

In the lecture, Qi Bin described the employment situation after the pandemic, the plan for improving competitiveness and the making of resumes. By listing authoritative data, Qi Bin showed the students the difficult employment situation at home and abroad after the pandemic, as well as a series of employment promotion policies introduced by various countries in response to the complex employment situation. She pointed out that students should establish correct employment concepts and start planning careers early. She also pointed out that grades, internships, certificates, and college backgrounds are all important factors regarding the improvement of one’s competitiveness. Students should focus on their work during the semester and strive to improve their academic performance. Internships or scientific research projects could enrich students’ personal experience and ultimately improve their competitiveness. Finally, Qi Bin showed the students the key points of resume from the perspective of corporate and shared practical experience in making resume.

The Career•Chang’an university  special lecture aims to implement the Party Central Committee and the State Council's employment stabilization and employment guarantee arrangements, further improve Chang’an university's employment support system, and enhance the employment competitiveness of students. This lecture provides an in-depth interpretation of the employment situation and national policies of college students in the post-pandemic era, guides students to establish a healthy, active, and rational employment mentality, and provides students with practical and effective strategies for improving their employability.
