At 16:00 on April 19, the fourth lecture of the Peer Forum of the CDIC was held in the lecture hall on the 4th floor of the Hongyuan Building. Ma Yuan-winner of 2020’s “Star of Innovation & Entrepreneurship”, Chuanpan(from Zhixing Team)- winner of 2020’s “Star of Chang’an university(Team)”, and Wu Yanan- winner of 2020’s “Star of Chang’an university(individual)”were invited to this event. They gave presentations in turn to all students from class of 2020.
Ma Yuan shared his experience and insights from four aspects: experienceto gain postgraduate recommendation, scientific and technological innovation activities, learning methods, and experiencein making progress. He suggested that students should develop long-term, efficient and focused study habits. Students should take excellent academic performance as foundation to actively participate in science and innovation contestssuitable for their own development; students should strive to improve their English communication skills, and improve themselves in all aspects during internships. Students should positively face the troubles they met and acceptthemselves.
Liu Chuanpan reviewed his mindednesswhen implementing innovation and Entrepreneurship. He emphasized that during scientific research, only through unremitting efforts and perseverance can we achieve a leap in our own capabilities. He explained to his students about how to efficiently conduct scientific innovation research from the aspects of: preliminary preparations for science innovation contests, the retrieval and download of relevant documents, and the specific implementation of research projects. He encouraged everyone to become wellroundedtalents.
Through reviewing his academic history, Wu Yanan emphasized that setting ambitious goals and working hard for them is the key to achieving a good self. With her experience in participating in summer research studies, scientific innovation competitions, and academic research, she encouraged students to attach importance the cultivation of comprehensive abilities. She also shared the experience of dormitory culture building, and said that excellent dormitory culture has a positive effect on personal development and all-round improvement of dormitory students. Finally, shetold students: The only thing that makes you feel real and proud is your life with effortsand your head heldhigh.
In the interactive communication session, students enthusiastically asked questions and asked three outstanding peer role models about their learning attitude, contest participation, and processto gain undergraduate recommendation. The three peer role models provided serious and detailed answers, which gave other students a lot ofinspiration.
Since the establishment of the Peer Forum last year, it has successfully held four lectures. Theinviting of outstanding peer tutors to give lectures has had a positive impact on CDIC students. They were writinga splendid page of theirlife.
