In order to provide students with professional consulting and guidance on studying abroad, CDIC held the third lecture of Study Abroad Salon at 17:00 on April 12 in the WH1402 classroom of Hongyuan Building. A group of 5 people from the New Oriental Future Overseas Team was invited to CDIC to provide lecturesand one-to-one consultation. After pre-registration, more than 20 students from CDIC participated in theevent.
At the beginning of the event, He Miao, a study abroad planner with eight years of study abroad consulting and guidance experience, gave a wonderful lecture on How to Plan for Study Abroad. In the lecture, He Miao analyzed a large amount of data, and analyzed the current situation of studying abroad from the perspectives of the choice of countries and the acceptance rate of G5 universities. He Miao then listed the preparations to be made for studying abroad, and used a chart to show the career plan of the successful overseas students. He Miao pointed out that application for studying abroad is a complicated matter. During the undergraduate period, it is necessary not only to maintain a high GPA and Language proficiency score, but also improvecomprehensiveabilities. Students should start early in scientific research projects, internship experience, document output, etc. so that they can have a outstandingprofileduringapplication.
After the lecture, the students further communicated with the teachers about their questions. The teachers listened carefully to the students' questions, answered enthusiastically, and put forward practical opinions, which benefited the students alot.
