On the evening of October 8, 2020, in the high-speed network interactive classroom of Hongyuan Building, CDIC held an eventof “professor explain majors”by UCD professors forstudentsmajor in Civil Engineering Infrastructure. Professor Shane Donohue (Head of Civil Engineering Infrastructure at UCD), Alex Runchman (Supervisor of the Applied Language Center), Beini Chen (Director of Cooperative Education at UCD), Professor Beatriz Martinez Pastor, Professor Rui Teixeira, and Professor Budi Zhao participated thismeeting.
Shane Donohuefirst welcomed thejoining of students of class of 2020. Afterwards, he briefly introduced the development process of the cooperation between the University College Dublin and Chang'an University, focusing on the connotation, cultivation objectives, curriculum system, future development direction of the Civil Engineering Infrastructure major.Professor Shane Donohue gave specific suggestionsto students on how to study core curriculmwell.

Alex Runchman said that the language courses set up by the University College Dublin Language Center for students are the basis for students to learn core curriculum,and it will help students better understand and apply the knowledge they havelearned.
The three core curriculum professors briefly introduced the core content and specific arrangements of each course to the students.Theyhopedthat studentscouldbecome international talents withboth solid core skills, advanced management concepts and excellent bilingual communication skills by makingfull use of the high-quality learning resources of the twouniversities.

Finally, Shane Donohue encouraged everyone to study hard during the university, and hoped that students can study at the University College Dublin or a world-renowned overseas university aftergraduation.
