CDIC held the first student organization election defense meeting

On August 16, 2020, the first student organization election defense meeting of the CDIC was held in the conference room of the South Campus Highway College. Wang Hainian (College Dean), YaoYiliang(DeputyDean), SunShiqiang(Deputy Director of Student AffairsDepartment), ChenShuo(College Youth LeagueSecretary), and Zeng Yan(counselorof class of2018) participated in the defense meeting and served as judges. The defense will be conducted in a combination of online and offline, and the meeting was presided over by ChenShuo.



Wang Hainian pointed out that CDIC attaches great importance to the establishment of the first student organization.Hehopes that the studentswhowere selected will keep their original intention and mission in mind, take the initiative and activelymake effortsin the future organization and community work, highlight the characteristics of Sino-foreign cooperation education.Students who have not been successfully selected must continue to maintain a positive attitude. CDIC will also try its best to provide a platform for everyone toshowtheir own advantages and realize their personal values. He also emphasized that the student organization of CDIC should strive to integrate its own characteristics in the future work development, which is also an important part of the talent cultivationprocess.



Chen Shuo introduced the organizational structure and job responsibilities of CDIC's Youth League Work Center, Student Union, Youth Media Center, University Student Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association, Culture, Art and SportsAssociation.


After clarifying the process and requirements of the defense meeting, the candidates of each student organization demonstrated their personal style through video conferences in turn.Theyelaboratedon their personal strengths,understandingof campaign positions, and prospects for future work, and fully demonstratedtheirown work experience and expertise, and put forward personal opinions on future work. Afterwards, the judges and teachers conducted interactive question-and-answer sessions with the candidates to learn more about their daily performance andexpertise.



Afterthediscussion and comprehensive evaluation by the judges after the meeting, the defense meeting formed a list of candidates for the first student organization, and the defense meeting endedsuccessfully.
