On the morning of August 25, 2020, Wang Hainian (Dean ofCDIC), Yao Yiliang (DeputyDean), BoQiang(DeputyDean), and a group of 8 people went to theSchoolof International Education ofChang’anuniversity forvisiting andstudyand hold a symposium. Zhang Wei (Dean of the School of InternationalEducation), Liu Yinan (Director of the CollegeOffice), Zhang Zihang (Director of the Student AffairsOffice), and heads of administrative, teaching, and academic departments of both parties attendedthesymposium.

The meeting

Zhang Wei welcomed the visit of CDIC, and introduced the institution setting, enrollment and teaching, performance appraisal, daily work of international students, etc. of the School of International Education, and described the basic situation and comprehensive reform planofCDIC.

Wang Hainian introduced the overview of CDIC and the basic situation of each department, focusing on the comprehensive reform of international education, the establishment of teaching mechanisms, and the daily management of institutions. Yao Yiliang and Bai Qiang communicated experiences on the implementation of performance appraisal methods, the establishment of the full credit system and the improvement ofteachingquality.

CDIC administrations conducting in-depth discussions

During the symposium, the two sides conducted adequate discussions on international education development planning, management systems and mechanisms, team building, teaching reforms, and student affairs under the pandemic. They also discussedand communicated theexperienceof somespecific worksuch aspractices enrollment work, teaching quality, student scholarship settings, and the establishment of teacher reserves forbothparties.
