On March 28, Elsevier, a global information analysis company, released the Highly Cited Chinese Researchers List of 2022. For the third year in a row, Professor Wang Hainian, Dean of CDIC, has been included in the list.

Wang Hainian is currently the dean of CDIC, a second-level professor of Chang'an University, and the chief scientist of the national "14th Five-Year Plan" key R&D project. His main research fields are: research and development and maintenance technology of long-life green highway materials, green construction and durability improvement technology of civil aviation airport, intelligent operation and safety assessment of civil aviation airport, road detection and asset management, asphalt pavement and pavement structure design and optimization. At present, he serves as the Chairman of the Highway Department of the World Transport Congress (WTC), the leader of the Demonstration Base for Cultivating innovative Talents in the transportation industry, the director of the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Construction and Maintenance of Civil Aviation Airport, the deputy Secretary-General of the Working Committee of Traffic Schools of China Highway & Transportation Society, and the leader of CDIC's Innovation and Entrepreneurship pilot project in Shaanxi Province. He has been selected as "Young and Middle-aged Leading Talents in Science and Technology Innovation in Transportation Industry", "National Highway Outstanding Scientist" by China Highway & Transportation Society and "Advanced Individual in Teaching Management" by Shaanxi Province.

A total of 5,216 people from 504 universities, enterprises and research institutions have been listed on Elsevier’s Highly Cited Chinese Researchers of 2022, covering 84 first-level disciplines in 10 disciplines of the Ministry of Education. Elsevier uses Scopus, a globally authoritative citation and index database, as the statistical source of Chinese scholars' scientific research achievements. It deeply analyzes and identifies Chinese scholars in different scientific research careers in various disciplines from multiple dimensions and displays their scientific research achievements. It is not only committed to systematically showing the distribution of talents in China's scientific research field, but also to a certain extent, showing the composition of advantageous disciplines of various institutions and universities, as well as breakthroughs and innovations in key technology research and key fields.
