On the morning of May 12th, Chen Huilin, Director of International Education Department of International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Xidian University, led a research group composed of Graduate School, School of Communication Engineering, School of Computer Science and Technology, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Artificial Intelligence and School of Network and Information Security, etc. to visit CDIC. The two sides exchanged views on the construction and management of Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions. Huang Guanwen, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation & Exchange of CHD, Song Qingsong, Director of the Department of Sino-French Cooperation Program of the School of Information Engineering, Wang Hainian, Dean of CDIC, Zhao Liang, Secretary of the General Party Branch of CDIC, Bai Qiang, Deputy Dean of CDIC and heads of all departments attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhao Liang.

The Meeting Scene

Wang Hainian extended a warm welcome to Xidian University's research team and introduced the development history of Sino-foreign cooperative education of CDIC from the aspects of general situation, operation effect and long-term planning. He said that Xidian University's cooperative school-running program has distinct characteristics and rich experience and looked forward to in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two sides to learn from each other and jointly promote high-quality development of cooperative education.

Huang Guanwen systematically introduced the international school-running situation of CHD through the department overview, joint training, “Foreign Experts Bring in Wisdom” and going abroad. He shared his thoughts and experiences on strengthening the inter-university resources sharing and the promotion of "Quality and Quantity" in internationalization work.

Chen Huilin expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of CDIC and introduced the founding of Xidian University, the history of its international development and the current situation of its cooperative education programs. He said that as an important part of the internationalization development of universities, Sino-foreign cooperative education is of great significance for promoting the construction of "Double First-class" universities. He hoped that the two universities could further strengthen the exchange of successful experiences and practices of Sino-foreign cooperative education.

In the free exchange session, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on training program, bilingual course, credit replacement and development prospect.
