The scientific research seminar for Chang'an University and University College Dublin was held

On the afternoon of December 17, 2020, CDICheld a seminar on scientific research cooperation between Chang'an University and the University College Dublin. The conference was conducted by video. Wang Hainian, Dean of CDIC, together with 15 teachers respectively from the School of Highway, School of Transportationengineering, andSchool of Water Conservancy and Environment, and Professor Amanda Gibney, Dean of the School of Civil Engineering of the University College Dublin, and 12 teachers from the School of Civil Engineering of the University College Dublin participated in this meeting by way of video.The meeting was co-chaired by Bai Qiang, Deputy Dean of the CDIC, and Professor Eugene O’Brien, University CollegeDublin.

First of all, Wang Hainian and Amanda Gibney, expressed their sincere thanks and welcome to all the participating teachers. Wang Hainian said that the holding of this seminar opened the prelude to the comprehensive scientific research cooperation between Chang'an University and the University College Dublin, which is of great significance to the scientific research development and international cooperation of the twouniversities.

The seminar was divided into four modules: highway engineering, water resources and environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, and Transport City Planning and Environmental Policy. Teachers from Chang'an University and University College Dublin introduced and shared their academic background, research interests, research projects, and researchresults.
