At the beginning of the course, Professor Mark Richardson proposed that education is not about acquiring knowledge blindly. He hopes that students can learn to analyze and solve problems, and have the ability to compare and demonstrate information. The professor has talked about ‘active learning’ many times, aiming to allow students to improve their time management and abilities to organizetheirschoolwork through thecourse.

As the course progressed, Professor Mark Richardson gave a deeper explanation of ‘active learning’. Active learners are good at connecting the existing data in the brain with the new data obtained during learning. They have their own learning pace and goals, and they are good at summarizing methods. So how to do ‘active learning’? The most important thing the professor thinks is: When reading an article, we should write specific questions on paper. As the professor quoted Einstein’s famous saying, I have no special talents, I am onlypassionatelycurious.
This online lecture improved the students' awareness of active learning, and gave important inspiration to everyone's life and lifelong learning. CDIC hopesthat after completing this course, the students can seriously think about and summarize the learning methods that suit them, set goals, actively ask questions, be methodical, truth-seeking and pragmatic. Theyshouldn’tbe careless in thinking and be procrastinating in action. They should strive to be anExcellent'activelearner'.
