CDIC held an explanation session about the student status registration of UCD

At 6 pm on September 18, 2020, CDIC held an explanation session about thestudent statusregistrationof UCD in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of Hongyuan Building, Weishui Campus. This meeting was conducted online. UCD Cooperative Education Supervisor Beini Chen and Applied Language Center Supervisor Alex Runchman jointly explained the registration process of the University College Dublin and the use of Brightspace, the online teaching system of the University College Dublin, forstudents of class of 2020.

Beini Chen, the director of the University College Dublin Cooperative Education, first introduced the UCD Mobile software’s function and method of applicationto the students in detail. Students can viewUCD’scourse schedule and various notices through the software. Afterwards, He showed the students step by step the registration process on theUCDofficial website; after registration, CDICstudentswould officially have the dual status of Chang'an University and the University College Dublin, and can obtain all online course resources of the University College Dublin.

Alex Runchman, supervisor of the Centre for Applied Languages of the University College Dublin, introduced to the students the use of Brightspace, the online course teaching platform of the University College Dublin, and the whole course evaluation system of the University College Dublin.

CDIC offers three Sino-foreign cooperative education undergraduate majors: Civil Engineering Infrastructure, Automotive Engineering, and Transport City Planning and Environmental Policy. All adopt the 4+0, dual status, dual registration, dual degreecultivationmodel to achieve study abroad without going abroad.

Through thisexplanation session,students of class of 2020learned how to register at the University College Dublin and the method of using Brightspace, the online course teaching platform of the University College Dublin, which laid the foundation for subsequent learning.
