The first online Irish cultural communication meeting of CDIC was successfully held

At 21 o'clock on November 4, 2020, the CDIC and the University College Dublin successfully held an online course on Irish culture and traditional musical instruments. This course was jointly taught by Director Clara of the Irish Language Research Center of the UCD and Tristan Rosenstock(Teacher). All the students (2020 year) of CDIC actively participated. This activity aims to strengthen the mutual understanding between our students and the teachers and students of the UCD, and promote cultural communication. By leading the students to understand the local Irish culture, this event canguide students to be more internationalized and broaden theirinternationalhorizons.

Clara introduced various traditional musical instruments in Ireland, such as harp, elbow pipe, banjo, etc., and guided students to have a preliminary understanding of various musical instruments in Ireland. Afterwards, Tristan Rosenstock explained the skills of various Irish instruments and played Irish folk music withBoslandrums.

Clara expressed that shehopedstudents could not only learncoreknowledge, but also cultivate a wide range of hobbies and broaden their horizons during their university studies. She hoped to meet the students again on the campus of UniversityCollegeDublin.

Through this online cultural exchange activity, the students not only practiced their English skills, but also broadened their international horizons through. This online seminar effectively stimulated the students' interest in Irish culture and enhanced students' recognition of the cultural integration of Sino-foreign cooperation. It is of great significance for CDIC to cultivate advanced internationalized talents in the fieldoftransportation.
