On the afternoon of November 12, 2020, CDIC held the first meeting of the Academic Management Committee for Sino-foreign Cooperation of Chang'an University in the conference room on the fourth floor of theHongyuanBuilding.
The Academic Management Committee of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education of Chang'an University is composed of 7 membersfromUniversity College Dublin (UCD) and 8 membersfrom Chang'an University. The members of the Academic Management Committee of the University College Dublin include Paul Fanning(Provost of the UCD Chinaoffice), the Deputy Provost of the Foreign Office of CDIC, the UCD leader of the Civil Engineering Infrastructure and the Automotive Engineering & transportation major, the UCD China Office director and internationalEnglish course supervisor. The Chinese members of the Academic Management Committee include Dean of the CDIC-Wang Hainian, the relevant heads of the CDIC’s Academic Affairs Office, School of Highway, School of Automobile, School of Transportation engineering, as well as the Director of the Joint Office of UCD and Supervisor of international English Courses. All members of the Academic Management Committee participated inthismeeting.
The academic management committee of the Sino-foreign cooperative education of Chang'an University is mainly responsible for establishing and maintaining the academic standards of it, fully participating in the quality assurance system of the universities of both parties. These specifically include the responsibility of providing suggestions on the major setting and course content of Sino-foreign cooperative education and formulating major-related regulations, examine and approve all teaching and research materials and the qualification of teachers. The main purpose of establishing the Academic Management Committee of Sino-foreign Cooperative Education of Chang'an University is to ensure the teaching quality of and promote the developmentofdifferentmajors.
At the meeting, Wang Hainian expressed his gratitude to all members for attending the meeting. He said that the Academic Management Committee of Chang'an University's Sino-foreign Cooperation is an important organization that guarantees the teaching quality. He hopedthat all members will play an active role to further improve the teaching quality of CDIC and improve the international level of CDIC's education, contribute to Chang’an university 's building ofdoublefirst-class.
The meeting mainly discussed the registration of current students, the responsibilities of the academic management committee and the list of members this year, the revision of the internal transfer of Sino-foreign cooperative education majors ofthe CDIC. The meeting also voted unanimously to pass the method for students of Sino-foreign cooperation education to transfer majors in Chang'an University. In addition, the Academic Management Committee also discussed the specific arrangements for the 2021 spring semester, the grading standards of international core curriculum, the quality monitoring measures of core curriculumof the University College Dublin, and the joint participation of the two universities in the EU Erasmus exchangestudentproject.

At the end of the meeting, Wang Hainian summarized the meeting. He said that Sino-foreign cooperation education is an educational value-added process. He hopedthat through the substantive exchanges and cooperation between the two universities, the mutual learning of high-quality educational resources, the international development of Chang’an university's undergraduate education, and the buildingof Chang’an university’s first-class disciplinecouldbepromoted.
